  bullet ensure UCSF compliance with UCOP policy to recognize vacation liability at the time it is earned  
  bullet benefit from having the HBS Timekeeping System already in place, with active and accurate leave reporting  
  bullet assess vacation liability from the funding sources in place at the time vacation is earned  
  bullet create a pool of funds to subsequently fund any vacation leave taken by or paid out to employees  
  bullet required for all Academics and Staff who earn vacation and/or sick leave  
  bullet will impact current budgeting and financial management practices in departments
